加州 Work Sharing：僱主先申請計劃，減工時僱員再查失業給付
加州 EDD Work Sharing 讓合資格僱主在業務縮減時，以減少工時及工資配合部分失業給付，作為暫時避免裁員的安排。計劃須由僱主申請，通常至少涉及兩名僱員及至少一成正常人手或部門人手，工時與工資減幅須為百分之十至六十。

California Work Sharing: employer approval comes before reduced-hours unemployment benefits
California EDD Work Sharing combines reduced hours and wages with partial unemployment benefits as a temporary alternative to layoffs when business declines. The employer must apply. Generally, at least two employees and at least 10% of the regular workforce or a department must be affected, with hours and wages reduced by 10% to 60%.
Workers must also meet individual benefit requirements; voluntarily cutting their own hours does not establish entitlement. Temporary, seasonal and certain non-permanent workers are excluded. Health and retirement benefits must be maintained under the program rules, and Work Sharing cannot be a transition to layoffs. Employers can call 916-464-3343; employees approved to participate can call 916-464-3300.
