加州越野車登記：先核對 OHV 身分，不等於取得公路行駛資格

California OHV registration does not establish permission for highway use
California DMV includes vehicles such as dune buggies, trail motorcycles and snowmobiles in its off-highway vehicle category. A DMV identification plate or sticker is generally required. The application checklist includes REG 343, ownership evidence, an authorized REG 31 vehicle verification and applicable fees. Buying a used OHV also requires dealing with title transfer.
OHV identification and ordinary highway registration are different processes. Open land or an OHV sticker does not by itself authorize riding there or on a street. Use DMV’s link to State Parks’ OHV resources to identify designated areas and check current rules for the vehicle.
