Sacramento Book Den: distinguish shopping hours from book donations
The Friends of the Sacramento Public Library operate Book Den at 8250 Belvedere Avenue, Suite E, telephone 916-731-8493. This volunteer-run used bookstore supports library services; it is not a circulation desk offering free loans with a library card.
Shopping hours are listed Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m.–3 p.m. Donations go to the rear warehouse Wednesday and Saturday, 9 a.m.–noon. These are different schedules, so an open Friday shop does not guarantee acceptance of a carload of books. Arrange quantities exceeding thirty boxes before transporting them.
Follow the donation guidelines for books, media and other accepted goods in suitable condition, packed in bags or boxes. Moldy, wet or chewed items should not be delivered. The shop description does not establish today's titles, a fixed discount or free collection. Call or email bookden@saclibfriends.org to confirm capacity and holiday arrangements, and do not leave goods outside after closing.
