Medicare 營養治療給付：醫生轉介、適用病況與年度時數
Medicare Part B 可涵蓋合資格人士的醫療營養治療，適用情況包括糖尿病、腎病，或過去三十六個月內曾接受腎臟移植。需要醫生轉介，服務亦須由註冊營養師或符合指定要求的營養專業人員提供；不能把任何一般營養課程都當成此項給付。

Medicare medical nutrition therapy: referral, qualifying conditions and annual hours
Medicare Part B can cover medical nutrition therapy for qualifying people with diabetes or kidney disease, or a kidney transplant within the last 36 months. A doctor must refer the patient, and services must be provided by a registered dietitian or nutrition professional meeting the requirements. Ordinary nutrition classes are not automatically this benefit.
Qualifying patients pay nothing for these services. Initial coverage is three hours in the first calendar year, without carrying unused hours forward, followed by up to two follow-up hours per calendar year. A medical change requiring a dietary change may support a further doctor referral for additional hours. Confirm the referral and provider qualifications; this is not an individual diet prescription.
