選購 OTC 助聽器：先核對年齡、適用聽力程度及包裝
FDA 的 OTC 助聽器類別供十八歲或以上、自覺有輕至中度聽力損失的成年人選購，可在商店或網上購買而毋須處方。這個類別不適用於兒童，也不是嚴重或極重度聽損的替代照護方式。

Buying an OTC hearing aid: check age, intended hearing level and packaging
FDA’s OTC hearing-aid category is for adults aged eighteen or older with perceived mild-to-moderate hearing loss. These devices can be bought in shops or online without a prescription. The category is not intended for children or as a substitute for care for severe or profound hearing loss.
Read the packaging warnings, adjustment method and features. Difficulty hearing speech in a quiet room or very loud sounds warrants professional advice. Personal sound amplification products are intended to amplify surroundings for people with normal hearing; an amplification claim alone does not make a product a medical hearing aid.
