聯邦文職僱員工傷：ECOMP 的 CA-1 與 CA-2 如何分流
聯邦文職僱員因工作受傷，可從勞工部的 ECOMP 正式入口開始 FECA 申請。官方說明，建立帳戶及開始申請不需要先取得主管或機關其他人的批准；但開始提交不等於案件已獲接納或可立即領款。

Federal civilian injury claims: distinguish CA-1 and CA-2 in ECOMP
A federal civilian employee injured through work can start a FECA claim using the Labor Department's official ECOMP portal. Its guidance says supervisor or agency approval is not needed to initiate a claim. Starting the process does not mean acceptance or immediate payment.
CA-1 generally addresses traumatic injury identifiable by time and place during one workday or shift. CA-2 concerns occupational illness arising through continued or repeated workplace exposure over more than one day or shift. Choose according to the event pattern rather than the seriousness of the condition. CA-2 applicants should also consult the relevant CA-35 evidence checklist.
Prepare the event or exposure history, duties and medical documentation before following the registration and identity-verification instructions. Retain submission confirmation and the case number. Medical authorization, lost wages and additional evidence have their own procedures; a single upload does not complete everything. This federal route is not the workers-compensation system for every private-sector employee.
