Buffalo Tool Library

Buffalo Tool Library: membership, loan periods and extra charges
Buffalo's Tool Library at 2626 Main Street offers membership to residents of eight Western New York counties who are over eighteen. Bring identification for the first loan; this is not an unrestricted free walk-in giveaway.
The official FAQ lists annual memberships of $30 for five simultaneous items, $75 for twenty-five and $150 for fifty. The ordinary loan period is one week. SuperTools carry an additional prepaid twenty-dollar daily charge. Check late or cleaning charges separately instead of treating membership as an all-inclusive price.
Listed hours are Wednesday through Friday, 2–7 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m.–4 p.m., with Sunday through Tuesday closed. Call 716-510-1745 or email info@thetoollibrary.org about suitability and waiting lists. A notified waitlisted item must be collected within two business days or the member may return to the end of the queue. This guide guarantees no stock and provides neither operating training nor an assessment of a borrower's ability.
