Adhikaar is a women-led community and workers' center serving Nepali speakers. Its definition includes Nepali-speaking people with roots in Bhutan, India, Burma and Tibet as well as Nepal, so service relevance should not be inferred solely from passport nationality.
The official Work page describes English for Empowerment: two-hour classes at different levels, including learners who have never attended school. It lists Sundays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays but explicitly says programming can change the schedule. Call 718-937-1117 to confirm current sessions, registration, charges and location before arranging work or travel.
