Texas 經銷商交車已用金屬車牌：保留買方收據至登記完成
Texas 從 2025 年 7 月 1 日起，經銷商出售車輛時改發金屬車牌，取代一般紙張買方臨時牌。買家在等候擋風玻璃登記貼紙期間，應把 Buyer's Receipt 留在車內，直至登記完成並貼妥貼紙。
一般車牌須依官方指示固定在車輛前後。Dealer Temporary Plate 是經銷商業務用途，不能當作交付買家車輛的車牌；外州買家及特定牌種短缺另有不同安排，不能只看是金屬牌就認為用途相同。
以舊換新時，普通牌由經銷商按新規處理；特色或個人化車牌則由車主保留。私人買賣仍有自己的移牌與過戶程序，不能套用經銷商交車方式。交車前請店方說明牌種、收據與貼紙後續，疑問可向 TxDMV 致電 888-368-4689。本帖是現行流程指南，不是今天新增法例的即時新聞。

Texas dealer deliveries use metal plates: retain the buyer receipt
Since July 1, 2025, Texas dealers have issued metal plates at vehicle delivery instead of ordinary paper buyer tags. While waiting for the windshield registration sticker, buyers should keep their Buyer's Receipt in the vehicle until registration is complete and the sticker is affixed.
General-issue plates must be secured at the front and rear as instructed. A Dealer Temporary Plate serves the dealer's business activities and cannot be used to deliver a purchased vehicle to its buyer. Out-of-state buyers and shortages of particular plate types have separate arrangements; metal plates are not interchangeable simply because they look official.
For trade-ins, dealers handle ordinary plates under the revised rules, while owners retain specialty or personalized plates. Private sales continue to follow their own removal and transfer procedures. Before taking delivery, ask about the plate type, receipt and registration follow-up, or call TxDMV at 888-368-4689. This is a current-process guide, not an announcement that the law changed today.
