Online Korean placement and heritage-language inquiries at Korean Culture Project
Korean Culture Project is an independent New York nonprofit, renamed in October 2026 from Korean Culture Center NYC. It is separate from the government's Korean cultural center in the city. All its Korean classes currently run online, with the next ten-week series listed to begin October 5.
Beginners do not need a placement test. Students entering higher levels after previous study or learning Korean at home should arrange one. The course page lists $350 for one ten-week class, $250 for a second and $200 for a third. Discuss whether simultaneous classes suit your level before purchasing a combination.
Korean adoptees can inquire about subsidized courses; subsidy does not establish universal free tuition or an available place. Contact hello@koreancultureproject.org or 917-453-8334 to confirm placement, payment and the actual time zone. The timetable still uses EST, so participants in California should confirm starting times instead of relying on an unverified conversion.
