Out of the Closet
Out of the Closet

Out of the Closet donations: check pickup size and acceptance
Out of the Closet offers store drop-off and arranged large-donation collection, supporting AIDS Healthcare Foundation services. Read acceptance and exclusion lists and confirm details with the local store, since arrangements can differ between cities.
The current free-pickup threshold is at least two accepted large furniture items, or at least ten large bags or moving boxes of adult clothing and household goods. Meeting that size requirement does not confirm an appointment or acceptance. Drivers assess whether items are clean, usable and suitable for resale.
Secure loose goods, protect fragile pieces and clearly separate anything that must not be donated. If a building requires a certificate of insurance, ask dispatch in advance. Large-pickup inquiries go to 800-558-8220, 323-337-0715 or OTCdispatch@ahf.org. A receipt does not determine an individual's tax treatment. This guide values no item, guarantees no collection window and does not offer the pictured household contents for sale.
