加州 Medicare Savings：向縣府申請，先分清各類費用協助
加州 Medicare Savings Programs 可為符合條件的人分擔 Medicare 費用，但不是一項所有 Medicare 會員都自動享有的折扣。QMB 可涉及 Part A、Part B 保費及部分自付費用；其他類別可能只支付指定部分的保費，須由縣府按資格判定。

California Medicare Savings Programs: apply through the county and compare assistance types
California's Medicare Savings Programs help eligible people with Medicare costs, but they are not an automatic discount for every Medicare member. QMB can cover Part A and Part B premiums and certain cost-sharing amounts. Other categories pay only specified premiums, with eligibility determined through the county process.
Apply through BenefitsCal, by mail, by telephone or in person at a county social-services office. The official MC 14A form is available when applying only for a Medicare Savings Program. If the local office is unclear, the Medi-Cal Helpline at 800-541-5555 can help identify the appropriate contact.
Income and asset rules change, and deductions can affect eligibility; one online figure is not a reason to rule yourself out without checking. Prepare Medicare and household financial information, and ask about the category, effective date and renewal requirements. These programs differ from Part D Extra Help or employer-insurance HIPP. Sending a form does not mean premium assistance has been approved.
