Finding the right KCSC youth program in the Seattle area
KCSC's Seattle-area youth page distinguishes WeKAN for Korean American middle-school students from YouthKAN for high-school students. WeKAN meets weekly during the school year, using mentoring, identity conversations, media activities and games to build peer connections.
YouthKAN brings together Asian American students from across Puget Sound to discuss community experiences, public issues and cultural change. The two programs have different age groups and participation arrangements. Separate summer and scholarship links do not establish that places remain available now.
Parents or students can email fyp@kcsc-seattle.org with their grade, city and available times. Ask about school-year recruitment, language, charges, parental consent and transport arrangements.
