Finding a towed vehicle in New York City before visiting a lot
If a vehicle disappears from its parking location in New York City, begin with the official towed-vehicle search or call 311; outside the city, use 212-639-9675. Have the plate number, issuing state and plate type ready to identify the vehicle and responsible agency.
An NYPD tow for a parking violation follows a different recovery route from a Marshal or Sheriff seizure connected with judgment debt.
