Planning a future Korean course with KECNY’s level information
KECNY, the Korean Education Center of New York, publishes course levels, syllabi and an optional placement quiz that can help household members or adult learners plan a future Korean course. It is separate from the Korean Cultural Center New York, so course questions should go to KECNY.
At the time of checking, the listed fall courses had already begun and the published registration period was August 17–September 6. This is not an announcement of open immediate enrollment. Review a relevant syllabus and ask about the next term at nykoredu@mofa.go.kr or 646-674-6000.
The current page limits eligibility to residents of New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Delaware and Pennsylvania and distinguishes in-person from online classes. Explain your state, reading and speaking experience, available times and preferred format when inquiring. Reconfirm the applicable eligibility, tuition and materials. An online format should not be taken to mean nationwide enrollment.
