단체 문의는 kkiri.kkiri.samulnori@gmail.com, 창립자 문의는 roger@rogerkimmusic.com입니다.
지역: Oakland / San Francisco Bay Area, California, United States.

Kkiri Kkiri Samulnori in Oakland: exploring a Korean-diaspora music community
Kkiri Kkiri Samulnori is a Korean-diaspora percussion community that began in Oakland. In an ARTogether essay published July 18, 2025, founder Roger Kim describes how the group he started in 2022 developed into a place to learn samulnori and share experiences of Korean identity. His current official website also identifies him as its founder.
The essay describes members with Korean, Korean American, mixed-Korean and adoptee experiences. Kim says the group decided to limit membership to people with Korean heritage. It should not be presented as a general class open to everyone; confirm your eligibility and the group’s current arrangements.
The group contact is kkiri.kkiri.samulnori@gmail.com; the founder’s contact is roger@rogerkimmusic.com. Explain how you hope to participate and any musical experience, and ask about new members, rehearsal location and times, instruments and costs. Weekly-meeting descriptions in the 2024 interview and 2025 essay are not a current timetable. This guide does not reannounce an old performance or establish current recruitment or audience dates.
Region: Oakland / San Francisco Bay Area, California, United States. Evergreen reference guide, not a current enrolment or event announcement.
