New Jersey teen pleads not guilty in deaths of two girls
Vincent Battiloro, 18, pleaded not guilty in New Jersey on October 26 to two counts of first-degree murder. The new development was reported in Fox News’s evening roundup and WABC’s coverage of the hearing.
The case concerns the September 2025 deaths of Isabella Salas and Maria Niotis, two 17-year-old friends riding an e-bike in Cranford. Prosecutors allege that Battiloro deliberately drove into them. These are allegations awaiting adjudication, not a guilty verdict. WABC reports that the defense requested additional discovery and is considering seeking a change of venue.
The plea had already been reported earlier that day. The Fox evening video recaps it within a news roundup; it does not describe a hearing that happened that evening. The embedded video includes other stories, with the New Jersey case appearing at approximately 0:20–0:38. October 26 is the date of this plea and roundup, not the fatal collision.
