Medicare help in five northeastern California counties: PSA 2 HICAP
PSA 2 Area Agency on Aging directly provides HICAP counseling, advocacy, education and legal referrals for Medicare beneficiaries, including people eligible through disability, and those approaching eligibility. California's provider directory assigns it Lassen, Modoc, Shasta, Siskiyou and Trinity counties.
Call the agency's main number, 530-842-1687, and ask for HICAP, or use the statewide HICAP locator at 1-800-434-0222. The agency office is at 208 W. Center Street, Yreka, CA 96097. This is a contact address, not a promise of walk-in counseling; confirm appointments and arrangements for your county.
