曼哈頓月租車位稅豁免：先取得證書，再交停車場生效

Manhattan monthly parking tax exemption: present the certificate before claiming relief
New York City’s Department of Finance says qualifying Manhattan residents can reduce tax on long-term rented parking from 18.375% to 10.375%—an eight-percentage-point surcharge exemption, not removal of all parking tax. Its eligibility page requires an individually owned vehicle registered at the applicant’s primary Manhattan residence, personal use and a rented space for at least one month. Commercial, rental-company and company vehicles are excluded.
After approval, the mailed certificate identifies the effective month. Give its bottom portion to the parking facility. Earlier payments are not exempt or refundable. Changes to residence, garage, vehicle or plate details require a new submission with documentation. Call 311 for questions or a paper application.
