Before paying extra for product protection, compare it with the manufacturer’s warranty. BHGS recommends checking coverage, exclusions, duration, buyer responsibilities and the process for repair requests or an unrepairable product.
Identify the company financially responsible for claims, check the seller and administrator through BHGS, and keep the agreement and receipt. Its guide describes full-refund cancellation within 30 days of receiving home-electronics or major-appliance plans, or 60 days for other products, when no claim was made. Later cancellation may involve a partial refund; check the contract.
BHGS handles complaints within its protection-plan remit. Home warranties and product or phone insurance are different categories. Inquiries: 916-999-2041.
