佛蒙特州由 The Hartford 承辦的個人家庭及醫療假保險，供符合條件、在州內居住及工作且僱主未提供相關保障的員工，以及州內自僱居民選購。它是自願保險，並非所有居民自動享有的福利。

Vermont voluntary FMLI: check individual enrollment windows and waiting periods
Vermont’s individual Family and Medical Leave Insurance program, administered by The Hartford, is a voluntary purchase for eligible people living and working in Vermont whose employer does not offer this coverage, and for self-employed Vermont residents. Coverage is not automatic.
The administrator currently marks general enrollment closed; the annual window is May 1–31. Certain job changes, loss of employer coverage, or moving to and starting work in Vermont may allow special enrollment within 30 days. Annual enrollment has an effective date and a six-month eligibility waiting period, so benefits are not immediately available after purchase.
Qualifying claims provide up to six combined weeks per benefit year at 60% of average weekly wages, subject to a cap and policy conditions. Questions: 866-541-5322.
