跨州搬家前查搬運公司：FMCSA 登記、書面估價及交收清單
委託搬運公司把家居物品運往另一州，可先使用 FMCSA 的 Protect Your Move 資源，核對公司或經紀是否登記並有 USDOT 號碼。至少向三家索取估價，同時比較服務內容；弄清對方是實際搬運者還是代為安排的經紀。
跨州搬運前，搬運公司須提供官方權利與責任手冊及 Ready to Move 簡介。簽署估價、提單與物品清單前先讀清內容；裝車時核對物件狀況，收貨時在簽字前記下損壞或缺失，保留文件至交付、付款及申索處理完畢。

Before an interstate household move: check FMCSA registration, written estimates and inventories
For a household move to another state, use FMCSA's Protect Your Move resources to check whether the mover or broker is registered and has a USDOT number. Obtain at least three estimates and compare the services, while distinguishing the actual carrier from an arranging broker.
Before an interstate move, the mover must provide the official rights-and-responsibilities booklet and Ready to Move brochure. Read estimates, bills of lading and inventories before signing. Check condition at pickup and record missing or damaged items before signing delivery documents. Retain records until delivery, payment and claims are resolved.
FMCSA accepts suspected moving-fraud complaints but cannot resolve compensation claims against a mover. This guide concerns interstate household transport, not every local moving contract.
