SEJSCC Norwalk: children’s Japanese, online adult classes and separate membership dues
SEJSCC welcomes Japanese-language learners of different races and religions. Kindergarten serves five-year-olds, while the regular program is recommended for ages six and above and covers listening, speaking, reading, writing and culture by level. Adult classes are currently online, with three levels and 70-minute Saturday sessions. The stated fall 2026 opening was August 15, which has passed; ask about mid-term entry or the next intake rather than assuming new registration remains open.
The official page lists annual children’s tuition of $1,265 plus materials and annual adult tuition of $990 including materials. Separate installment amounts are listed, so confirm the applicable payment arrangement. Community-center dues are charged separately: $120 annually for one person or $180 for a family of two or more. The address is 14615 Gridley Road, Norwalk, CA 90650; email gakuen@sejscc.org or telephone 562-863-5996. The school says it does not return out-of-area phone calls, making email preferable for those enquiries. Calligraphy is currently marked unavailable; its older description should not be treated as an open class.
