索取自己的醫療紀錄：先分清副本、費用與更正程序

Requesting your own medical records: copies, fees and corrections
HHS explains that individuals generally may inspect and obtain copies of their medical and billing records held by HIPAA-covered organizations. Limited exceptions include separately maintained psychotherapy notes. Ask the provider about its request process, identification requirements and delivery options.
An unpaid medical bill alone is not a reason to withhold copies. Reasonable copying and mailing charges may apply, but search or retrieval fees are not permitted for this right of access. You may request a correction and, if refused, add a statement of disagreement through the official process. These are rights concerning your own records, not unrestricted access to someone else’s information.
