Borrow occasional-use tools from LA County Library
LA County Library offers a way to borrow occasional-use tools before deciding whether to buy them. Its official page lists six participating libraries: Compton, Lancaster, Malibu, Norwalk, Rosemead and San Fernando. Borrowers must be at least 18, have a library card in good standing and sign a lending agreement.
Ordinary tools have a seven-day loan period without renewal. Return them in person to staff at the owning library, never through a book drop. Before travelling, check the catalogue and contact the branch about availability and rules. Borrowers supply consumables. This is a borrowing-resource guide, not a tool-sale advertisement.
Location: Los Angeles County, California. Checked: October 3, 2026 (US Pacific time). Evergreen guide; the source does not provide an original publication date.
