災後有人代辦索償：先查 public adjuster 執照及收費
災後接到「可代你向保險公司索償」的推銷，先問對方代表誰。Public adjuster 是受聘協助保戶的人，通常按理賠款比例收費，與保險公司派來處理個案的人並不相同；職銜或名片不是有效執照的證明。

When someone offers disaster-claim help: verify public-adjuster licensing and fees
If someone offers to handle a disaster claim, first establish whom they represent. A public adjuster is hired to assist the policyholder and commonly charges a percentage of the settlement. This differs from the insurer's adjuster; a business card or job title does not verify a licence.
CDI recommends asking your own insurer or agent about the process first. Handling a claim directly does not remove the option of later hiring professional help. Before signing, check licensing, services, fees and contract terms, keep copies and resist pressure for an immediate signature.
