Taft TIL 獨立生活教育：先參觀與面談，住宿及計劃費另查

Taft College's Transition to Independent Living program offers postsecondary education for students with developmental or intellectual disabilities. Practical learning includes budgeting, cooking, safety and daily living, with campus or community housing. It is not inpatient medical care or an unconditional offer of free accommodation.
Applicants must tour the program, supply documentation, undergo screening and complete two interviews. Diploma-status students may start applying at seventeen; certificate-status students may begin at twenty. These are application ages, not automatic admission rules. Interviews assess motivation, support needs and whether the program is an appropriate educational setting.
Call the TIL Office at 661-763-7769 about documentation, tours and funding arrangements. Students are responsible for room, board and a program fee, so establish who pays each cost beforehand. The stated average of twenty-two months is not a fixed graduation promise. Completion requires coursework and demonstrated skills; independent living and employment outcomes are not guaranteed.
