College of the Siskiyous

Adult education in Siskiyou: separate preparation, GED testing and diploma routes
College of the Siskiyous participates in Adult Education Pathways, linking nearby adult schools with academic and work-readiness support. A high-school diploma, equivalency testing, English learning and citizenship classes are different routes. Explain your existing education and goals before selecting a program.
GED Academy provides online preparation, including practice, lessons and tutoring. Finishing preparation is not passing the official GED examination. The college lists a Pearson Vue testing center at Yreka Adult School, 701 North Oregon Street, with questions through 530-842-3988. Check examination eligibility, appointments and fees separately.
The page still says a Mount Shasta testing center will open in 2025; that old announcement does not establish current availability. College noncredit tuition is free, but that does not automatically waive external examination, materials or other charges. Contact continuingeducation@siskiyous.edu about classes, then confirm openings, online equipment and attendance arrangements with the appropriate local adult school.
