Lake Tahoe Community College's noncredit ESL sequence develops listening, speaking, reading and writing from beginning through advanced levels. Ask the ADVANCE team about placement rather than judge ability from course numbers alone. Contact esl@ltcc.edu or 831-204-1471.
The program lists several beginning, intermediate, conversation and writing entry points. Its Certificate of Competency is not awarded for any single class. After proficiency across the listed levels, designated advanced courses include ESL 565 and ESL 592B Pronunciation II. Have staff review completed work and remaining requirements.
Support is on the main building's second floor at One College Drive, South Lake Tahoe. Use the current timetable for delivery format, hours and registration, not an old 2019 schedule found through search. Scholarship descriptions do not guarantee funding, and a noncredit certificate is not a degree, immigration benefit or employment promise. Ask about materials and other expenses before enrollment.
