財產或汽車保險公司清盤：從 CIGA 查理賠接手與替代保障

When a property or auto insurer enters liquidation: CIGA claims and replacement coverage
After a property, auto or workers' compensation insurer enters liquidation, California Insurance Guarantee Association guidance can help identify the claim-transfer process. CIGA's role depends on insurer eligibility and a court liquidation order; it does not pay every disputed insurance claim. Life and health coverage use a different association.
Keep the policy, original claim number and liquidation notice, then check that company's instructions in the Liquidation Directory. A claim already recorded by the insurer generally need not be filed again with CIGA. Additional or future claims may still require a Proof of Claim with the liquidator, within the specified deadline.
File transfers can delay processing. Call 818-844-4300 to identify the appropriate claims contact. Transfer of a claim does not keep the original policy active indefinitely. Confirm termination and replacement cover with a suitable agent instead of waiting for payment while overlooking a possible gap in protection.
