對不以英語為母語的居民而言，電腦操作和英文介面常常是兩個不同的學習難題。可以先選一項實際需要，例如整理檔案、練習輸入文字或認識瀏覽器，再尋找適合程度的教材，不必一次學完所有工具。
西雅圖公共圖書館的 Technology Skills 頁面整理了初學者資源，包括提供短篇入門課程的 Digital Learn，以及用於了解和練習數位技能的 Northstar。先閱讀課程說明，確認語言和字幕是否適合自己；網站有多語資源，不代表每門課都有日語、越南語、泰語或菲律賓語版本。

Digital skills for everyday life: one small library-based practice at a time
For residents whose first language is not English, learning computer tasks and understanding an English interface can be separate challenges. Choose one useful task, such as organizing files, typing or understanding a browser, before looking for suitable learning material.
Seattle Public Library’s Technology Skills page links to beginner resources, including short Digital Learn lessons and Northstar digital-skills practice. Check the lesson language and captions before starting. A multilingual resource collection does not mean every course is available in Japanese, Vietnamese, Thai or Filipino languages.
The library’s Hello from the Library videos provide an introduction to its services in languages including Vietnamese. Its Digital Equity page lists branch computers, free Wi-Fi and laptops for use inside some branches. Confirm local arrangements before visiting.
Keep the first practice small: open a lesson, find its captions and complete one section. Sign out of personal accounts when leaving a shared computer. These are Seattle-based resource examples and general study suggestions, not a promise of availability in every city or language.
