VietAID Boston: after-school learning and high-school college support
VietAID supports young people in Dorchester’s Vietnamese American community. Its youth programs include academic and enrichment activities for grades one through eight, plus leadership, college access and career exploration for high-school students. High-school learners can enquire about college-application, financial-literacy and college-experience workshops and preparation support. These services do not promise college admission or a scholarship.
High-school volunteers can ask about assisting younger students at least twice weekly in the after-school program, which is listed for October through May. Summer teaching-assistant, assistant-counselor and Leaders in Training opportunities are described separately; this guide does not present summer roles as current vacancies. Contact youthprogram@vietaid.org to confirm places, eligibility, fees and the current cycle. The general office is on the second floor of the Vietnamese American Community Center at 42 Charles Street, Suite E, Dorchester, MA 02122, telephone 617-822-3717. Confirm program venues separately.
