參加臨床研究前：Medicare 可能只支付部分看診與檢查費
Medicare Part A 或 Part B 可支付部分合資格臨床研究的費用，例如看診及檢查，但「研究接受 Medicare」不表示所有研究項目或實驗療法都免費。研究的目的正是評估治療是否安全有效，也不能把參加研究理解為療效已獲保證。

Before joining a clinical study: Medicare may cover only some visits and tests
Medicare Part A or Part B covers some costs in qualifying clinical studies, such as visits and tests. Accepting Medicare does not make every research procedure or experimental treatment free. Research evaluates safety and effectiveness, so participation is not a guarantee that treatment works.
Before joining, ask the study team and provider which costs the study pays, which are billed to Medicare and what remains your responsibility. The Part B deductible may apply, with twenty-percent coinsurance for some services. Actual charges depend on the services, other coverage and provider arrangements.
