海外政府合約工作受傷：先確認 Defense Base Act 的適用及申索程序
Defense Base Act 涵蓋某些在海外執行美國政府合約的文職僱員，並非所有海外工作或軍事身分都自動適用。受傷後應立即通知主管並尋求醫療照護，再核對僱主、工作地點及合約是否屬本制度。

Overseas government-contract injuries: check Defense Base Act coverage and claim steps
The Defense Base Act covers certain civilian employees working overseas on US government contracts. It does not automatically cover every overseas job or military connection. Report an injury to the supervisor promptly, seek care and establish whether the employer, work and contract fall under this system.
Labor Department guidance distinguishes written notice to the employer from filing a compensation claim with OWCP: the usual periods are thirty days and one year respectively, with separate rules for occupational disease and other circumstances. Review LS-201, LS-203 and official submission options, retain copies and verify deadlines with the responsible office rather than assuming ordinary state forms apply.
