Brooklyn Recycle-A-Bicycle：

Brooklyn Recycle-A-Bicycle: check the shop and workshop before donating
Bike New York's Recycle-A-Bicycle refurbishes suitable donated bicycles for sale, supporting cycling education. The retail shop is at 450 Grand Avenue, Brooklyn, telephone 347-799-1023. A separate Bike Lab is at 4014 First Avenue, Suite 315; these are not interchangeable receiving locations.
Ask about usable bicycles, parts and accessories. Some incomplete bicycles can be assessed, but excessive rust is excluded. Helmets must be new: an apparently undamaged used helmet is not accepted under that rule. Describe condition instead of leaving unwanted frames outside.
The retail page lists Tuesday–Sunday hours of 10 a.m.–6 p.m. Two official pages give different Bike Lab closing times, so confirm through 212-262-9211 or rabshop@bike.nyc before travelling. Occasional collection opportunities are not a guaranteed pickup service. This guide identifies shopping and donation routes without promising free bicycles, a particular model in stock or successful refurbishment of every donation.
