TSGLI 創傷保障：有 SGLI 不代表每次受傷都可領款
TSGLI 是 SGLI 之下的創傷受傷保障，提供符合條件的短期財務支援，並非只限戰鬥受傷。但自動受保不等於每次意外都會付款，必須符合官方指定損失及其他要求。
一般條件包括受傷當時有 SGLI、指定損失直接由創傷造成、在受傷後七百三十天內出現，以及傷者存活至少一百六十八小時。創傷亦須在退離軍職當日午夜前發生；二〇〇一年至二〇〇五年的特定追溯個案有另外規則，不應套用一般例子自行判定。

TSGLI traumatic-injury protection: SGLI coverage does not make every injury payable
TSGLI is traumatic-injury protection under SGLI, offering short-term financial support for qualifying severe losses. It can cover injuries incurred on or off duty, not just in combat. Automatic insurance does not make every accident payable.
Ordinary conditions include SGLI coverage when injured, a scheduled loss directly caused by trauma within seven hundred thirty days, and survival for at least one hundred sixty-eight hours. The injury must occur before midnight on the separation date. A special retrospective arrangement covers certain injuries from 2001 through 2005, so those cases require separate review rather than assumptions from the ordinary rules.
Use SGLV 8600 to apply, checking the schedule of losses and required medical evidence. After a denial, follow the service branch's letter for the correct appeal route and deadline; SGLV 8600A is used where applicable. This guide supplies no medical assessment, individual legal opinion, payment amount or approval guarantee. Keep copies of submissions and the branch's instructions.
