Berkeley City College

Berkeley City College undocumented-student entry: separate admission, tuition exemption and aid
Berkeley City College provides a step-by-step entry page for undocumented students. Complete the admission application, retain confirmation and obtain a student identification number. Then follow the new-student guidance for orientation, relevant placement or counseling. Applying to the college is different from securing a place in a course.
For an AB 540 tuition exemption, submit the applicable form and evidence as directed for Admissions to review. The Undocumented Community Resource Center can help explain campus procedures. Undocumented status does not automatically establish exemption approval, and enrollment does not change immigration status.
Financial aid has separate applications and eligibility rules. Discuss a study plan with a counselor, register through the student system and watch payment or document deadlines. The college is at 2050 Center Street, Berkeley; general inquiries use 510-981-2800. Obtain appropriate professional advice separately for individual immigration-law questions.
