收到 EDD 的失業保險不利決定，先保存整份通知、信封及郵寄日期，再按通知所列方式上訴。CUIAB 指一般失業保險的首次上訴期限是通知郵寄後三十天；不同福利類別可能有不同期限，不能把另一類申請的日期直接套用。

An adverse California unemployment decision: check the appeal notice and prepare for a hearing
After an adverse EDD unemployment-insurance decision, keep the complete notice, envelope and mailing date. Follow the appeal instructions on that notice. CUIAB describes a thirty-day first-appeal deadline for ordinary unemployment insurance; a different benefit category may use a different deadline, so do not borrow dates from another application.
Use the official appeal form and the submission directions in the decision. If filing late, explain the reason rather than assuming the appeal will automatically be accepted. Retain a copy and delivery evidence, then read the hearing notice from the assigned Office of Appeals carefully.
Prepare relevant documents, a timeline and witnesses. Ask the assigned office about procedures for obtaining evidence or arranging witnesses.
