LA County DPSS language assistance: asking about Vietnamese, Tagalog, Cambodian and other languages
LA County DPSS says it provides free language assistance for people with limited English or other communication needs. Its page links Language Access Plans in Vietnamese, Tagalog, Cambodian, Farsi and additional languages.
For case assistance, call 866-613-3777, Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m., excluding holidays. Direct language-service questions to DPSSLanguageServices@dpss.lacounty.gov and state the language needed.
Language assistance does not mean a benefit application has been approved. If using your own interpreter, ask the caseworker about the interpreter-services and confidentiality form linked from the official page.
