Getting your own New York driving abstract: choose the record type and save the PDF
For employment, insurance or a personal check, ask the recipient which abstract it needs. New York DMV offers Standard, Lifetime and CDL records. “Lifetime” means information DMV still holds; it may not reach back to your first licence. An accident listed on an abstract is not a DMV finding of fault.
An online order costs $7. The PDF reflects the record when ordered and remains downloadable for five days, so save it promptly. People without their latest New York credential can check the Records Request Navigator. To obtain a Standard record at an office, bring MV-15C, identification and the $10 fee. Ask DMV to investigate errors rather than editing the PDF supplied to another organisation.
