Somang Society: Korean-language caregiver groups and care-class inquiries
Somang Society lists Korean-language family caregiver support groups and care classes for Korean American seniors experiencing memory loss or early-stage dementia. The groups provide opportunities to discuss experiences and resources; they should not be treated as individual diagnosis, treatment or a promise of improvement.
The Anaheim group is listed for the second Wednesday each month at 10 a.m., at 2045 W. Ball Road. The Los Angeles group meets on the first Thursday at 10 a.m., at 975 S. Berendo Street. Both list 562-977-4580 for inquiries. An online Korean-language group is listed for the fourth Tuesday at 3 p.m.; call 562-977-8079 about participation. Separate in-person care classes are listed Tuesday and Wednesday in Anaheim and Thursday in Los Angeles, all from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
