SSA 決定覆核：先分醫療與非醫療理由，再記收件日起的期限
收到 Social Security Administration 不同意的決定時，先閱讀通知中的理由及覆核方法。SSA 的 reconsideration 入口把失能醫療判斷與非醫療事項分開；不要只因都是 SSA 信件便選同一表格或重交一份新申請。
官方一般要求收到決定後六十天內提出覆核。失能覆核由州 Disability Determination Services 的審查員重新看原申請及補充資料；非醫療事項則由 SSA 職員覆核。保存通知、收到日期及提交確認，並依個別信件處理補件要求，不宜等候電話回覆而錯過期限。

SSA reconsideration: identify the decision type and the receipt-based deadline
If you disagree with a Social Security Administration decision, first read its reasons and appeal instructions. The reconsideration page separates disability medical decisions from non-medical issues. Do not assume every SSA letter uses the same route or that filing a fresh application replaces an appeal.
SSA generally requires reconsideration within sixty days after the decision is received. A state Disability Determination Services examiner reviews disability requests and the original application; an SSA employee handles non-medical reconsideration. Keep the notice, receipt date and submission confirmation, and follow the individual letter's evidence instructions. Waiting for a phone response should not cause a deadline to be missed.
Use the corresponding official online process; a re-entry number lets applicants return to an unfinished disability request. SSA also provides an upload route for Form SSA-561-U2. Call 800-772-1213 for help, generally Monday through Friday, eight to seven in most U.S. time zones, with multiple languages available. Reconsideration does not guarantee reversal. Send identification and health records only through official secure channels.
