Planning for KULARTS introductory kulintang classes in San Francisco
KULARTS' fall 2026 Introductory Kulintang: Singkil Foundations course introduces beginners to Filipino kulintang gong music and ensemble rhythms. No previous experience is required. The five Wednesday sessions are October 14 and 21, then November 4, 11 and 18, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. No October 28 class is listed.
The venue is 67 Langton Street, San Francisco, CA 94103. Full enrollment costs $250, while a single class costs $75. Prospective drop-in students must email program@kularts-sf.org about available space. Lessons build on one another, so they should not be treated as unrelated taster sessions.
Sarunay practice instruments are provided in class. Students are encouraged, rather than required, to obtain their own for home practice. Course questions can go to ConradJBenedicto@pm.me. The accompanying video is KULARTS' own fortieth-anniversary introduction, not footage of this course or evidence that places remain available.
