Queens adult learning centers: find the route and location that fit your goal
Queens Public Library's Adult Learner Program provides routes into English study, adult basic education and high-school equivalency learning. First identify whether the goal is everyday English, foundational reading and writing, or preparation for an equivalency qualification. These are not a single interchangeable class.
The current center list covers several neighborhoods, including 41-17 Main Street in Flushing and 86-07 Broadway in Elmhurst. Being listed does not mean every center offers the same subjects, hours or immediate vacancies. Confirm the service location and current registration process before travelling.
For general program information, call 718-990-0700 or use ALPREF@queenslibrary.org from the official page. Explain your level, available study times and language-assistance needs, then check assessment and document requirements. This guide does not reuse obsolete test names or expired event dates, and registration is not a guaranteed diploma or certificate.
