San Bernardino’s free reusable household products: check afternoon collection hours
San Bernardino County’s Central Facility operates a Materials Exchange/Reuse program. The official directory allows county residents to take up to 35 pounds of usable household products plus five five-gallon buckets of recycled latex paint per month, free. Available products and colors vary.
The site is at 2824 East W Street, San Bernardino, CA 92408. The Material Exchange Store opens Monday–Friday, 1–3:30 p.m., excluding county holidays. Do not confuse these hours with the facility’s 9 a.m.–4 p.m. waste-collection schedule. Call 909-382-5401 first to confirm opening and collection requirements.
The county directory lists exchange services in other cities with different hours. The limits above refer to the Central Facility; they do not guarantee identical arrangements elsewhere or reserve any product.
