Santa Clara
Santa Clara Adult Education

Santa Clara Adult Education: ESL classes are full; prepare for December registration
Santa Clara Adult Education offers free adult English at Levels 1–5. Its current page explicitly says classes are full and registration will reopen in December 2026. No exact December date is published; the note that registration starts at 8 a.m. is not an invitation to enroll immediately. Call 408-423-3500 for updated arrangements.
General classes develop listening, speaking, reading and writing. Listed morning classes run Monday–Thursday, 9 a.m.–noon; evening classes Tuesday–Thursday, 6–9 p.m. Orientation and a placement test are required, with dates assigned during registration. Online and office registration at 1840 Benton Street, Santa Clara, CA 95050 are described, subject to the next intake opening.
English for Childcare and English for Healthcare list January 2027 orientation and classes without exact dates. Both require ESL Level 3 or higher. Childcare English requires enrollment with Mission College and the adult school; Healthcare English requires West Valley and adult-school enrollment and is noncredit, not degree-applicable. These are language courses, not qualifications to practice childcare or medicine.
