Literacy Suffolk：
Literacy Suffolk

Literacy Suffolk: time commitments for free adult English and literacy tutoring
Literacy Suffolk offers free basic English literacy and English-language tutoring to people aged 16 or older who are out of school. Most teaching is one-to-one. The organization says tutors are limited, so applicants may wait for a match.
Students must meet their tutor for at least two hours weekly and complete at least 30 tutoring hours each year; the program also expects participation for at least a year. Assessment after matching and again after 30 hours helps plan learning, rather than guaranteeing an exam or employment outcome.
Apply online or send the form to 627 North Sunrise Service Road, Bellport, NY 11713. Questions: 631-286-1649. Explain your schedule and goals and ask the coordinator to confirm the meeting location.
