Connecting with AKASF’s Bay Area Korean adoptee community
AKASF connects Korean adoptees in the San Francisco Bay Area through cultural activities, gatherings and community exchange. Eligibility, prices and registration vary by event. A session accepting family members does not mean every gathering is open to everyone.
For example, the official site lists a Maedeup Korean knotting workshop on October 3, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The price is $25 with materials included, and capacity is twenty. Its September 26 registration deadline has already passed. This guide does not present it as an opportunity to buy a ticket now or attend without confirmation.
Only San Francisco's Castro district is published; registered attendees receive the exact location and arrival instructions. Email info@akasf.org about waiting lists, later activities or your eligibility, then obtain a staff reply and confirmation before planning travel. An old event listing, donation or general mailing-list subscription does not replace registration for a particular gathering.
