德州醫療折扣卡：購買前向診所核對，折扣費用仍由會員支付
德州保險局指出，醫療折扣計劃不是保險。這類會員卡通常讓持有人在參與醫生或服務機構取得折扣，但會員仍需支付折扣後的全部醫療費用；不能把它當作保險公司會分擔帳單的保單。

Texas medical discount cards: check with the provider before buying
Texas insurance regulators explain that a medical discount program is not insurance. A membership card may reduce charges at participating providers, but the member still pays the entire discounted bill. It is not a policy under which an insurer shares the medical expense.
Before paying to join, check that the operator is registered as required in Texas. Ask your own doctor, dentist or clinic directly whether it accepts the card and which services receive an actual discount. Do not rely solely on a sales call or provider list. If advertising presents a discount card as health insurance, retain the advertisement and payment records and ask TDI about its complaint route at 800-252-3439.
