At the time checked, the official site still described a twenty-four-month extension effective December 19, 2024. People not already enrolled cannot apply, and existing enrollees cannot apply to increase coverage during the suspension. OPM may issue another notice ending or extending the period. A calculated end date is therefore not a confirmed reopening announcement. Coverage descriptions, cost-of-care tools and older application material do not mean new policies are currently available. Existing participants can use My LTCFEDS to review coverage and manage claims, including invoices, informal-caregiver time records and explanations of benefits. Sign-in now uses Login.gov. For coverage, premium or claim questions, call 800-582-3337, Monday through Friday, eight to six Eastern Time. Login assistance and claim decisions are separate matters.
